In short: we don't use analytics or advertising tracking. If you use our AI assistant, your messages are processed to answer you. Booking is handled by Tider, and the contact page uses Google Maps. These services are described below.
Data controller
The data controller responsible for processing personal data is:
BART ApSØstergade 13
7400 Herning
CVR: DK-41503432
Email: kontakt@barbart.dk
Phone: +45 71 90 24 62
What information do we collect?
Apart from the AI chat, booking and standard technical server logs, the website has no:
- contact form that sends data to our server
- user accounts, login or newsletter
- analytics tools such as Google Analytics or similar
- advertising or tracking pixels
Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs for technical and security reasons. This is a standard feature of the provider and is not used by us to follow or profile visitors.
Group visit requests
The form on the away fans page does not send anything to us. It opens your own email app with a ready-made email to kontakt@barbart.dk. We only receive the information once you send it yourself, and it is then processed as described under “If you contact us”.
Cookies
If you choose a language in the language menu, we store your choice in a functional cookie (bart_lang) for up to one year, so the home page opens in your language next time. It contains only the language code and is not used for tracking.
The AI chat itself does not use cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage. Language choice and the conversation only exist temporarily in the open page. Third-party services such as Tider and Google Maps may use their own cookies under their own terms.
If you choose to open the Google Maps map on the contact page, Google may set cookies. This is described in the next section.
Google Maps on the contact page
On the contact page we show a Google Maps map so you can easily find us. Google may process information about you when the map loads.
When the map loads, your IP address is sent to Google, and Google may set cookies in your browser. Google processes this information as an independent data controller under its own terms. We have no access to it and do not receive it.
You can read more in Google's privacy policy.
We are working on changing the map so it only loads when you actively click on it. Until then, the map loads together with the contact page.
Fonts and other content
The site's fonts are hosted on our own domain. This means no information is sent to Google Fonts when the fonts load. Booking via Tider, maps from Google Maps and the AI assistant use external services as described here.
AI assistant and automated replies
When the AI assistant is available, using it is voluntary. Only when you send a question are your message and the most recent parts of the conversation sent to Vercel AI Gateway and the model provider used (by default OpenAI). This is used to generate an answer based on our public website. Do not include personal information, payment details, passwords or sensitive information.
BART does not create a conversation archive and does not log the content of messages. The chat is cleared in the interface when you close it or change language. Technical processing and any storage by the AI providers follow their applicable terms and settings; closing the chat is not a guarantee of deletion by the providers. To limit abuse, a temporary, salted hash of your IP address is processed in the server's memory; it is not used for profiling.
AI replies are automated, for guidance only and may contain errors. They do not constitute a confirmed booking or agreement with BART. Contact staff to have prices, rules and bookings confirmed.
Booking with Tider
Online booking is provided by Tider. When you open the booking window or the booking page, Tider's service is loaded, which may process technical information and the information you provide to book or pay. See also the terms and privacy information shown in the booking system. The AI assistant cannot see or change your bookings.
If you contact us
If you write to or call us, we process the information you give us — typically your name, email address or phone number and the content of your enquiry. We use it solely to reply to you, and we do not keep it longer than necessary for that purpose. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in being able to answer enquiries.
If you choose to write to us via Facebook or Instagram, this takes place on Meta's platforms and is covered by Meta's terms and privacy policy.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have, among other things, the right to:
- access the information we process about you
- have incorrect information corrected
- have information erased
- have processing restricted
- object to processing
- receive your information (data portability)
If you have questions about how your information is processed or want to exercise your rights, you can write to kontakt@barbart.dk.
If you are dissatisfied with how we process your personal data, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet, Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark.
Changes to this policy
We update this privacy policy when the website changes — for example if we add a contact form, a booking system or statistics tools. The date at the top shows when the policy was last reviewed.
